The Challenges
Spare is a complex platform that boasts 7+ distinct product lines that serve tens of thousands of customers across four continents. As a result, Spare serves a wide array of transportation-related use cases which necessitate unique/esoteric demos, workflows, and enablement materials for specific clients and regions. As a result, Spare faced significant challenges across pre-sales, product, marketing, and within internal communications:
Pre-Sales & Solutions Engineering
The Spare team had used video editing tools like Loom to try and create product demo videos and enablement content at high velocity — only to struggle with maintaining demo assets and spending upwards of two hours per product demo video.
This bottleneck ultimately led to slower deal velocity, time wasted, and opportunity cost within marketing, sales, and customer success functions.

Spare’s product and engineering teams ship multiple releases per week, some of which require a methodical rollout plan out as part of the release process.
Typically after sales training or an announcement, the first customer question Spare receives is: “where can I find a one-pager, demo or screenshots of the UI?” The same goes for tier 1 releases for showcasing at conferences.
